Application

Application of 8922 AZ Noise Tester:
The Professional 8922 AZ Sound Level Meter provides automatic or manual range in six measurement ranges from 30 to 130 dB. The unit meets ANSI S1.4 and IEC60651, type 2 class standards, and features 0.1 dB resolution.

A background noise absorber of 8922 AZ SLM permits user to measure sound levels accurately even in the presence of high background noise. And it has the backlight function, which could let user operate in the dark area.

The 8922 AZ Sound Level Meter allows user to select between fast and slow response times as well as A&C weighting. Jacks on the meter provide both AZ and DC analog output.

The portable 8922 AZ Noise Level Meter can be used for acoustic (sound that travels through air) measurements, which had been widely used in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and industrial related application. User could capture sound level data via the USB interface.

The Digital 8922 AZ Decibel Sound Test Meter was being designed and manufactured by AZ Instrument, a well experienced manufacturer for Environmental Measuring Instrument.

FAQ

FAQ      AZ 8922 Backlit Sound Level Meter

Q1: Does the 8922 feature a backlight?

A1: Yes, it includes an integrated LCD backlight, perfect for measuring noise in dark boiler rooms or night-time environments.

Q2: What is the main difference between A and C weighting?

A2: The difference lies in which frequencies the meter "listens" to.

A-weighting mimics the human ear. It ignores very low and very high frequencies that humans don't hear well.

C-weighting is "flatter." It includes much more of the low-frequency range (bass/thumping sounds) that the human ear might not hear as sharply but still feels.

Q3: What is the BA mode?

A3: The Background Noise Absorber filters ambient sound, allowing you to isolate and measure the specific noise of a single machine.
