Application

Application of 8695 AZ Flat Surface Long Tube pH Detector:
The 8695 AZ pH Meter has 12.5 cm long pH probe with flat surface electrode, which could be inserting to the container with narrow opening size easily than other pH Meter. It has the waterproof IP65 function, and it can measure the pH value from 2~12 to meet different Water Quality Testing applications.

The pH sensor electrode of 8695 AZ Flat Surface Long Tube pH Pen is protected/storage in a bottle, which could keep the pH sensor wet. The 8695 AZ Water Pen with Flat Surface pH sensor can be calibrated easily by one touch calibration function.

Q1: Why use a flat electrode instead of a bulb?
A1: Flat electrodes like the AZ 8695 provide maximum contact on solid surfaces or with very small droplets (micro-samples) where a bulb cannot submerge.

Q2: Why is it necessary to dampen the sample surface before using the AZ 8695 flat pH pen?
A2: Since pH measurement requires an ionic exchange between the electrode and the sample, the AZ 8695 flat electrode needs a thin layer of liquid to establish a proper reading.
When testing dry surfaces like paper, fabric, or skin, you must first apply a drop of distilled water or a neutral saline solution to the surface.
This creates the necessary "liquid bridge" to ensure an accurate and stable pH measurement on solid materials.

Q3: How do I maintain the long probe electrode for longevity?
A3: Always keep the electrode tip moist by adding KCL storage solution to the protective cap. Avoid touching the glass membrane with hard objects and rinse with distilled water after each use to prevent cross-contamination.
