Application

Application of 8373 AZ Water Quality TDS and Salinity Tester:
The 8373 AZ ppm and Salinity Meter can measure the TDS (Total Dissolved Solid), Salinity and Temperature for the water solution target.

The TDS unit of measurement are including ppm & ppt, and the units of Salinity are including ppt & % & specific gravity (S.G.). User only needs one touch to switch different units for different measuring purposes.

The 8373 AZ TDS and Salinity Meter is designed as auto-ranging since powered on. Auto-ranging determines and selects a range which gives User the greatest resolution and accuracy. In order to keep the accuracy for 8373 AZ TDS and Salinity Pen,  please kinldy rinse its probe with deionized or distilled water before each usage. That could be helpful to remove any impurities adhering to its electrode. If the meter is not used for a long time, please soak the probe more than 30 minutes to clear up the lazy effect of probe.

The TDS and Salinity measuring function of 8373 AZ TDS and Salinity Pen could proceed with the calibration easily by user. Its pen type housing design could let user take or carry easily. It could be the best Water Quality tester for all professional measuring purposes, including the LAB, water treatment business, Aquaculture, Aqua farm, swimming pool or other related industry.

8373 AZ TDS and Salinity Pen was being designed and manufactured by AZ Instrument, a well experienced manufacturer for Environmental Measuring Instrument.

FAQ

【FAQ of AZ 8373 Salinity & TDS Pen】

Q1: What is the main advantage of the 8373 Salinity & TDS Pen?
A: The 8373 provides flexible EC-based conversion, allowing users to measure both salinity and TDS with adjustable conversion factors for different water types and applications.

Q2: Why do TDS readings vary between different instruments?
A: TDS values depend on the conversion factor used to translate conductivity into dissolved solids. The 8373 allows users to adjust this factor, providing results that better match their specific solution characteristics.

Q3: Why can salinity and TDS be shown together?
A: Salinity and TDS are both derived from electrical conductivity (EC), which is the actual parameter measured by the instrument. They represent two different ways of interpreting the same EC value, depending on the application.

Salinity uses a fixed NaCl-based model, providing a consistent and standardized indication of how salty the water is.

TDS uses an adjustable conversion factor, allowing users to interpret EC based on the specific composition of their solution.

Showing both values together does not mean the instrument measures two different physical quantities. Instead, it allows users to view EC through two practical perspectives — composition-oriented (salinity) and total-load-oriented (TDS) — which helps with real-world decision making in different industries.
